This is the story of a homebody turned digital nomad

Hi, I'm Stephanie — Lover of the open road, really good stories, and summertime stargazing

Not to overshare from the beginning, but I grew up with a chronic illness. Most of my young life started in bed, where I experienced life second-hand from the characters in books and TV shows, who had no limits on where they could go or who they got to become.

As soon as my health took a positive turn, I set out with a pen and a full tank of gas to write my own story arc. I've spent the last five years conquering countries and continents, and fighting off villains like loneliness and health relapses.

In the last nine years, I've lived in four different states and moved eleven times, constantly weighing the cost of seeing it all or belonging to a place that fits me. This digital diary is my sacred space to hold the nuance of what it means to live everywhere and nowhere. It's my way of unpacking what "home" actually means — and finding what connects us all from across the globe and across the hall.
